What do you think the Appalachian Community should do to make the campus a better place for all students in 2008?
The Appalachian Fund encourages students to get involved in philanthropy initiatives on campus by participating in programs that benefit the Mountaineer Student Fund. The Mountaineer Fund provides funding for projects that are supported by “You” the students and for the University. This year, the Mountaineer Fund is promoting an online video contest entitled “U Matter” to enhance students' awareness about giving back to their community and to have an active voice on issues that directly affect them.
We want to hear from you
All current Appalachian students are encouraged to prepare a three minute video to answer the question “What do you think the Appalachian Community should do to make the campus a better place for all students in 2008?” Students are encouraged to be creative--yet informative. The video can be staged as a short play, commercial, news broadcast, talk show, music video, or documentary.
The winning videos will be featured at a special benefit concert on April 30, 2008.
